METHOD · THIS SITE'S CONSTITUTION
Four grades. No hiding behind studies show.
Every claim on this site carries a grade, a source and a checked date. This page defines the grades so you can audit us.
The grading system
Grades descend with evidentiary weight. Nothing gets recommended on D alone.
Systematic review or meta-analysis
Pooled results from multiple independent trials. We lead with it whenever it exists, and say when it does not.
Randomized or controlled field trial
Single studies with real deployment and mosquito-count endpoints, including the lethal-ovitrap trials this domain once hosted.
Institutional position
Standing guidance from WHO, CDC or EPA, linked in full so you can read the original wording.
Lab or mechanistic evidence only
Works in the cage or the dish. We report it, label it, and refuse to recommend anything on D-grade alone.
PLATE 010
- Stack A: systematic reviews, pooled results
- Stack B: field trials with real deployment
- Stack C: standing guidance from agencies
The house rules
Six commitments, auditable from any page.
| RULE | WHAT IT MEANS |
|---|---|
| Every claim, graded | Numbers, recommendations and refusals each carry A, B, C or D. |
| Every page, dated | A checked date per source; stale pages are re-audited or retired. |
| Disease pages, commerce-free | Signs point to care, never to products. This is contractual. |
| Products graded, not sold | If affiliate links ever appear, grades stay independent of commissions. |
| We do not inherit authority | The domain's first life hosted real research; we cite it, we do not wear it. |
| Nulls get published | What does not work is written down with the same care as what does. |
WHY THIS PAGE EXISTS
Because mosquito advice usually arrives as folklore with a price tag. The grading system is the antidote: you can check any claim's evidence class in one glance, and hold us to it.
